Bill to stop 'rogue' judges passes House

I was at Mayo Clinic yesterday, therefore no DML Report was sent. I was there again today, and this is why you are getting a late night DML Report. The entire ride home I envisioned writing about the stock market rally today, and telling you all how CORRECT I was about the tariffs and stock market rallying back — but I will save that for tomorrow’s podcast when I am in the studio. Tonight, I bring you breaking news

House Passes Trump-Backed Bill to Rein in Rogue Judges—Finally, Some Common Sense!

It’s about time. The House of Representatives just gave a big thumbs-up to a bill that’s got President Donald Trump’s fingerprints all over it, and I couldn’t be happier. On Wednesday, lawmakers voted 219-208 to pass the No Rogue Rulings Act (NORRA)—a piece of legislation aimed at putting a leash on these out-of-control federal district judges who’ve been throwing wrenches into Trump’s agenda since day one. This is a win for the American people, plain and simple.

Let me break it down for you.
The NORRA Act, spearheaded by Rep. Darrell Issa out of California, is all about stopping these lone-wolf judges from issuing nationwide injunctions that grind Trump’s policies to a halt. We’re talking about judges—sometimes just one guy in a robe—sitting in their little courtrooms, thinking they’ve got the power to dictate what happens across the entire country. That’s not how this is supposed to work, and Trump’s been saying it loud and clear. The man’s faced more than 15 of these ridiculous injunctions since he took office, targeting everything from his border security plans to his efforts to roll back the woke DEI nonsense. Enough is enough.

I’ve been watching this circus unfold, and it’s maddening. You’ve got judges like James Boasberg out of D.C. pulling stunts like issuing an emergency order to stop Trump’s deportation flights under the Alien Enemies Act. Who does this guy think he is? The American people voted for Trump—not some unelected bureaucrat in a black robe—to run the show. And yet, these activist judges keep popping up like whack-a-moles, trying to derail the America First agenda. It’s judicial overreach on steroids, and it’s been a thorn in Trump’s side from the jump.

The vote wasn’t a landslide, I’ll give you that. It broke mostly along party lines, with just three Democrats crossing over to back it—Reps. Henry Cuellar and Vicente Gonzalez from Texas, and Jared Golden from Maine. Meanwhile, four Republicans jumped ship and voted no: Andy Biggs and Paul Gosar from Arizona, Thomas Massie from Kentucky, and Nancy Mace from South Carolina. I get it—some folks have their principles—but this isn’t the time to play purist. We’re in a street fight to take this country back, and this bill is a solid jab at the opposition.

Now, don’t get too excited just yet.
This thing’s got to head to the Senate, where it’ll need 60 votes to pass. That means some Democrats would have to grow a spine and support it, which, let’s be real, is a long shot with the likes of Chuck Schumer pulling the strings. But here’s the kicker: Trump’s got momentum. Capitol Hill buzz says he’s personally behind this bill, and with House GOP heavyweights like Majority Leader Steve Scalise and Whip Tom Emmer on board, it’s clear the party’s rallying around him. Scalise told Fox News Digital they’re fed up with “rogue judges” acting like they’re the fourth branch of government. Amen to that.

The Democrats, predictably, are crying foul. Rep. Jamie Raskin from Maryland’s whining that this is all about Trump dodging accountability for what he calls “serial violations” of the Constitution. Give me a break. Raskin’s crew acts like these judges are saints protecting democracy, but what they’re really doing is shielding the left’s agenda from a president who’s actually trying to fix this mess. They’re mad because Trump’s winning—and the American people are behind him.

Look, I’m not saying the judiciary doesn’t matter. Checks and balances are real. But when one judge can tank a policy that 330 million people’s elected leader is pushing, something’s broken. The NORRA Act says district court injunctions can only apply to the parties in the case—not the whole dang country. That’s not radical; that’s restoring sanity.

So, what’s next?
The Senate’s the big test. If it clears that hurdle, it lands on Trump’s desk, and you know he’ll sign it faster than you can say “Make America Great Again.” Until then, keep your eyes peeled—this fight’s far from over. But for now, I’m calling this a W for Team Trump and every American who’s sick of the swamp calling the shots.
