7 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW…

DOMESTIC

  1. A Delta Airlines flight from Atlanta to Columbia, South Carolina, experienced an emergency when smoke or haze was detected in the cabin shortly after takeoff. The Boeing 717-200, carrying 94 passengers and crew, safely returned to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. All passengers and crew were evacuated using emergency slides without any reported injuries.

  2. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is actively advocating for the elimination of property taxes statewide. He said today, “You buy a home, you buy land... and then, you've been taxed many times [on that]... is it your property, or not? Just for being on your property, you've got to write a check to the government every year?"… "A lot of people can't afford that. That's a big issue. We're going to be looking at ways to bring people relief from that."

  3. The price of coffee may be rising. Specifically, the cost of arabica coffee beans has surged 25 percent since the start of 2025, and experts say Americans will soon feel the impact. 'Expect retail coffee prices to keep grinding higher,' Bank of America said today. The bank noted that consumers were already showing 'price fatigue' before the new hikes. The uptick in pricing is expected to hit chains like Starbucks hard, since it exclusively uses arabica beans.

  4. A recent poll from M3 Strategies shows that Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has a favorability rating of only 6.6%, with a significant 79.9% of Chicago residents viewing him unfavorably. This stark disapproval rate is one of the lowest recorded for a sitting mayor.

  5. In a recent interview, Rep. Dan Crenshaw made controversial remarks when asked about Tucker Carlson, initially joking but then seriously stating he would 'kill him' if he saw him. This statement has sparked a wave of reactions across social media, with many users expressing concern over the violent rhetoric used by a sitting congressman. Crenshaw's comments were in the context of political disagreement, particularly around U.S. aid to Ukraine. No official response from Crenshaw regarding these remarks has been provided as of yet.

INTERNATIONAL

  1. Pope Francis’ initial respiratory infection has progressed to double pneumonia, with additional complications arising during his hospital stay. A respiratory crisis now requires high-flow supplemental oxygen. On Sunday, the Vatican reported “initial, mild kidney failure,” now stabilized. He’s receiving multiple drugs, which his doctors find challenging to calibrate.

  2.  Friedrich Merz, the CDU leader and frontrunner to become Germany’s next chancellor following the February 23 election, has signaled a shift from his earlier hardline stance on immigration. During his campaign, he pledged strict border controls and a crackdown on irregular migration, but recent statements suggest he’s softened that position. Reports indicate 3,500 Afghan migrants will be flown in after the election — basically ignoring the will of the voters.

CAN’T MAKE THIS STUFF UP…

RADICAL NUT
The ideology never fails. In Berlin, an 18-year-old Chechen Muslim migrant was arrested by police at the airport as he was headed for Turkey. He is “suspected of planning a terrorist attack on the Israeli embassy in Berlin.” He was not believed to be acting alone, which means that his accomplices are still at large.

HOLLYWIERD
Alec Baldwin threatened the life of a Trump impersonator who razzed him about shooting and killing a female camera operator during the filming of the movie, Rust. In the clip, Baldwin tells the guy he “would break his F****g neck” if the camera was not running.

SLIME BALL
AVEO Pharmaceuticals, headquartered in Mumbai, sells FOTIVDA (tivozanib) in the U.S., an oral medication for adults with relapsed or refractory advanced renal cell carcinoma after two or more prior systemic treatments. So what’s the problem? A BBC investigation has accused the company of illegally producing and exporting unlicensed, highly addictive opioids to West Africa, contributing to a severe public health crisis there. Could this happen in the U.S., or is it already underway?

MEDIA MANIAC
Being a black woman is why she got the job, being an absolutely talentless progressive race baiter is why she lost it. Joy Reid took to social media and cried over her firing today. A brief video clip highlights her waterworks.

LMAO
I don’t mean to be mean by laughing — because deep down it is not funny — but a far-left TikToker posted a video admitting she hasn't filed taxes in 8 years, and then she called for Elon to be assassinated. Funny thing is, the video was sent to the FBI, and she is now being investigated.

MAKE AMERICA HEALTHY AGAIN…

STAT OF THE DAY
Joe Biden took 577 vacation days during his presidency, from January 20, 2021, to January 20, 2025, according to data compiled by the Republican National Committee. This figure, amounting to about 39% of his 1,463 days in office, includes time spent at his Delaware homes, Camp David, and other getaway spots like St. Croix and Nantucket, though aides argue he remained engaged in work remotely during these periods.

IN YOUR FOOD
A recent study found over 3,600 chemicals from food packaging seep into our bodies, like PFAS from nonstick wrappers, tied to cancer. Published in the Journal of Exposure Science, it shows toxins in everyday eats—like a burger wrapper—may harm health, pushing for tougher safety rules

POISON PILLS
In December 2024, a study linked long-term Tylenol PM use to a 50% higher dementia risk, sparking concerns over its diphenhydramine content.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE…

Today, February 24, 2025, Apple made a big AI announcement. They’re investing $500 billion in the U.S. over the next four years.

ONLY IN AMERICA…

House Listing of the Day

Money, Money, Money
Rep. Ilhan Omar is responding to accusations that she is worth millions of dollars. Saying she is worth pennies, I think she’s a liar, but you decide for yourself. Learn more…

Is it a bomb, or is it something else?
Ever hear of the crazy guy who is spending millions of dollars to live forever? He got nailed today at LAX for having strange stuff in his luggage. Why can’t people be simple.

Influencer or Mental Patient?
YouTube influencer Lil Golo, known for wild stunts, tried running through 1,000 strips of duct tape for a video. He knocked himself out, got tangled, and needed hospital care after his head hit the ground. What has happened to society?

GOOD NEWS…

In the wake of the Palisades and Altadena fires, and amid continual rising prices for eggs at the supermarket, a California farm has donated 324,000 eggs to victims of the recent wildfires.

54,000 will be given specifically to a charity of chefs and nonprofiteers called Gather For Good which cooks meals for first responders and others directly involved with combating the fires. Another separate donation will be made to Winter Fate Bakes, a Los Angeles bakery that has offered to bake and donate a birthday cake to any child whose family lost a house in the fire.

DAY TRADES…

MY DAY TRADE OF THE WEEK
For years my wife and I ran a charity called The DML Foundation. We donated over $250,000 of our own money over a 4 year span; we gave every cent of our donations away to people in need. We are not mega-rich by any means, but it was our way of giving back. Going forward, I will try to do it another way considering we no longer donate like we once did (thanks to Joe Biden’s inflation). I will try to use the stock market and my hobby for picking great stocks to help raise a few bucks for good causes.

Each Monday, I buy a stock and then sell it on Friday. I will monitor the progress on the DML Report. I started with $19,950, let’s see how it goes.
